How did you do? Know more than you thought you did?

The accumulation of knowledge is a human trait. Humans are naturally curious and it leads one on many quests for understanding.

There are some kinds of knowledge that are a waste of time:

James 3:13-17 Who [is] a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom. But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth. This wisdom descendeth not from above, but [is] earthly, sensual, devilish. For where envying and strife [is], there [is] confusion and every evil work. But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, [and] easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.

The knowledge most useful, applicable, AND that has any real long-term advantage is knowledge of the Word and the God who spoke it.

Colossians 1:10 That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;

Proverbs 2:6 For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth [cometh] knowledge and understanding.

Prioritize your information gathering and output.

  1. It’s stupid. Tells me I don’t know before I finished reading the question. What does that test? How fast my eyes adjust to a computer screen.

  2. Oops! Sorry about that Helen! It is rather quick. A little faster than Jeopardy I think.

  3. I did this tonight…really late but it was fun! I didn’t do so well but they don’t really give you time to answer. Oh well…it was fun anyway.
