Angry. Part 2 of 5

Results of anger

Anger, resentment and bitterness are bedfellows.   Bitterness turned inward becomes depression.

Resentment results from the inability to let go of perceived wrongs through forgiveness (either of another or of one's self) and bitterness is the infectious cancer that eats one from the inside out destroying its host and others within its reach. 

Signs that someone is angry and bitter:

  • Self-righteous
  • Negative
  • Tired
  • Moody
  • Cynical
  • Self-centered
  • Entitled
  • Self-Pitying
  • Antagonistic
  • Implacable (unteachable)
  • Vindictive
  • Arrogant
  • Unforgiving
  • Critical

Anger/Bitterness motivates habitual complaining. (Job 7:11, 10:1)

Angry/Bitter people find great delight in gossip. (Psalm 64:3)

Anger/Bitterness fragments other peoples lives. (Hebrews 12:15)
