Daily Devotional – June 26

If you had access to a history book that was

  • written over 1600 years,
  • spans thousands of years,
  • had 40 different authors that agree with each other,
  • that not only contained eyewitness accounts to most of the worlds most momentous events,
  • but contained hundreds of prophecies that have been fullfilled, (300 by one man),
  • with many yet to come,

wouldn't you be interested in reading it?

The Bible – Number 1 bestseller of all time (530,659,106 bought and distributed this year alone–thats approximately 431 million more than than the Da Vinci Code).

The Bible – Often purchased, often quoted, rarely read…

  4. The Bible is a book filled with truth, a book that brings us life. Hope you’re doing okay, Jack. Just finished painting the woodwork in the kitchen.

  7. Jack, the kitchen is not almost finished. We are slow. The painting is done, except for removing the tape. We still want to refinish the cabinets before the countertop is installed. It is ordered. Then Bill has to plumb the sink (and maybe install a garbage disposal). The flooring is here, but that will be last and depends on other people to help. We also hope to paint the hallway going down (we’re in a split level) and do painting, floors and plumbing in two bathrooms. We are slow. We hope all of this is finished by fall.

  8. It never ceases to amaze me how people try so hard to fill their lives spiritually. New age, eastern mysticism, wicca, new age kabbalist or whatever. They run from the real thing. Everthing you need is right in the Bible. People just don’t want to surrender.

  9. Right on, Larry. I totally agree.
