Daily Devotional – September 13

GENESIS 3:1 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

Every good lie has an element of truth, and every good liar knows how to manipulate the truth to make the lie more believable.  Satan would choose to obfuscate and manipulate the truth rather than outright denying it because it is much more effective.

Did you know:

While the problems of the above organizations both past and present may be obvious, what about “mainstream” religion?  Have we been taught to trust in the right thing?

Questions and more questions.

Stay tuned.

  2. Hi Brian!

GREAT to hear from you! Hope you have been well.

I agree, as Christians we are often outsmarted by Satan–we refuse to use the head the good Lord gave us.

    Will see you next Wednesday.

  3. There are definitely problems with “mainstream religion.” And it is not just limited to its followers- its also the way its portrayed in the media, in entertainment, by those who frown upon religion- that very well could be Satan at work distorting matters for everyone. To answer the questions of have we been taught to trust in the right thing- yes- but the imperfect human element comes in and perhaps distorts that and uses it as a means disparate from what its purest intentions are.
