WHAT DO YOU SEE FOR 2007? (Part 3 of …)

  • Extortion,
  • bribery,
  • murder,
  • sexual predation,
  • conspiracy,
  • treason..

Just a tiny part of the endless list of crimes committed by those who lead our country.

Plato, a great poltical mind, noted that an empire that rises on the back of conviction and sacrifice will face decline when the base (the worst) of its society rise to the top to be its rulers.  Every great empire that has ever fallen has experienced this, and in case you haven’t noticed, in this great nation, political graft, corruption and scandal has risen exponentially.  Truly in this day and age, the basest of men have become the rule over us, and in spite of talks of “ethics reform” we can only expect this to get worse.

II Timothy2:1-4 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.  For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God

As Christians we need not worry:

II Timothy4:5 But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.

Fully understanding that:

II Timoth 4:8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

  1. Interesting observation of Plato. We do become like those we choose to follow.
